Ok... a little intimidating being the first one to post here, but I suppose someone needs to be first.
So... hello! I go by James Grimswolf or just James which is my legal first name anyway. I'm a younger (under 30) gentleman and admittedly very inexperienced Norse Polytheist living with my wife somewhere tucked between the Connecticut River and the Massachusetts state line. I've thus far been able to make a few friends with similar views about an hour and a half's drive into MA but am wondering and hoping there may also be a few closer by that I can network with. Others that share my focus on the Norse pantheon would be nice but really any contacts with other polytheists in the local area would be wonderful. Also not one to turn away any online contacts and friends I might make to learn and share with either.
My thanks to all the wonderful people that are working to make the idea of Polytheism Without Borders and this forum possible! I've been searching for many years for an idea and a community that felt right and in common with my own values. I pray this will bring some fulfillment of those needs for myself and many others for a long time to come.
- James

I'm nowhere near local to you (Melbourne, Australia here) but I'm here because of you, so hi - and thank you!

I'm not Norse/Asatru; just a lone Hellenic in the SouthEast corner near New London. I do know about a kindred, think it's called the Raven Kindred, in the Middletown area of the state as well as the Osprey Kindred in Rhode Island.

fearlesslyonwards: Heheh, you're welcome and I'm always glad to lead one more person into the madness as it were. I do have some friends in Australia, but I'm not sure how close they may be to Melbourne. juliaergane: New London is close to a two hour drive for me (have had to travel there for work on occasion) but I'd still be up for chatting and such. In the long run I wouldn't mind helping someone honor the Hellenic Deities in a ritual, good way for me to learn more. I checked out both kindreds you mentioned, but unfortunately both of them seem to be at least loosely affiliated with groups that I wouldn't be too comfortable with (AFA mostly, though also the Troth) and probably wouldn't be too comfortable with me. Thanks for the info though!

It's going to take some time to get enough folk to create critical mass in terms of real-world connections. Does anyone have suggestions for other resources for groups that are more reconstructionist / hard polytheist oriented?
By the way James, I'm glad you found your way to the folks in MA, I'm pretty sure we're talking about the same well-known group and I know they are very active!

i don't know which people in ma you're talking about, but i live in western mass also. i can certainly get down with the norse gods, i like freyer and loki, i like the eddas. i like the nomads too, the old reindeer people, the laplanders. suomi they're called now in finland, swamp people.
i sometimes make peace with cthuthulu or ursula or whatever you want to call the kraken, and i've got an uncle named chemosh, and i have a really really special place in my heart for hecate too. especially. a friend of hers cut me some really good wormwood.
i enjoy total chaos pretty much always no matter what. i've heard about the brotherhood of the screaming abyss. i moved recently this autumn and found my new environment to be incredibly whacked in terms of time and space, and i'm just trying to deal with that on a daily basis.

We're down in NYC, focused almost entirely on the Norse pantheon. The Vanir and the Rokkr get the majority of our attention, as well as an unnamed-in-lore jotunn goddess.

lucky : Well, if you want someone to talk to about the Norse Gods that's cool. Not so sure about Cthulu though... I mean, I'm a big H.P. Lovecraft fan, but not so sure he'd (it?) be one I'd ever form a relationship with the way I do with Odin and the other Gods I work with. Also, do you mean this brotherhoodofthescreamingabyss.com/ ? Shannon : A bit far off for easy in person networking, but definitely wouldn't mind talking more in general. Noticed you mentioned Eir on your blog too, been noticing a fair few in recent weeks express an interest in working with Her.
