HI all, A new online pagan magazine is coming out next month- Pagan Forest Magazine! I am going to be covering a column focused on reconstructionist pagan traditions, and I am beginning with Greek reconstructionism. So I was wondering if there are any Greek reconstructionists who'd like to be briefly interviewed about the tradition and its practices and tenets, for my article. I'd be interested in learning what is most important about your religious tradition, in what ways you honor/worship your gods, the nature of the worldview, and what it is like practicing this kind of religion in today's modern world. Feel free to reply to this thread, or pm me through the forum here. I look forward to chatting with you. Here is the site for the magazine- sign up to receive the first issue out early next month! www.paganforestmagazine.com/Many blessings, Erin Lund Johnson Writer and Editor for Pagan Forest Magazine

I have a soft spot for pagan magazines, so thank you for letting us know about the new one! Congrats on getting a column!

You know, I'm not big on interviews, especially not with my name on them(I'm paid to sing at a religious institution, live in a southern state, and even me using my first name and picture on this forum is probably not smart of me), but if you were to do an anonymous written survey, you'd get lots of quotable answers from multiple perspectives, and I'd be happy to participate. You could send it to people on other websites and blogs that way, too. And I am *not* very representative of the Hellenic community at large.

Marybeth, do you follow one of the major Greek polytheist recon traditions? If so, I'd love to ask you a few questions. No problem with your being annonymous, you can tell me what you'd like to be known as, and no photos are required. It would be brief, not overly involved. Thanks for offering.

No, I am definitely not a reconstructionist, or any established tradition. My practice is heavily influenced by ancient Greek practice but I also incorporate lots of other things that that community would not really be fond of.

I would say the same is true for me, Marybeth. Many of the reconstructionist groups I've come across were very anti-magic, believing it to be a challenge to the gods, whereas I'm very much fond of my midnight dabblings.

Good to know Marybeth, thanks! May I send you a private message with a few questions in it for you?
