Admin - whoops, posted before I was done. Does this board have the ability to add polls to posts? If not, a Google document will give us an easy/free way to decide on books.

Hello! I think a book club would be awesome, and would like to join! I'm also happy with getting books that have digital editions as well. I am open to the majority, but would like to put my vote to Talking to the Spirits* by Kenaz Filan. The Deities Are Many* by Jordan Paper also looks interesting.

I actually run a local pagan book club, BUT I do love reading... If I can, I will try to keep up!
My club did Trance-portation last year, and I did not care for it at all. But even then, I'd be curious to see if other polytheists would be as disappointed with it.

God Against The Gods by Jonathon Kirsch was one I've read in the past, I'd be interested to see what everyone else thinks of it.

The Deities Are Many* by Jordan Paper; Earthly Bodies, Magical Selves* by Pike; A Pagan Testament by Myers; I'm in ADF, and they published Greer's book, so I will ask about when (and if) it will go back in print. It may have been a choice on JMG's part. (Now if only Isaac had writing a book on polytheology!) In the mean time, the above that I trimmed from Lyadora's post are some that have been on my reading list a long time. Here's a couple more: Dealing with Deities by Raven Kaldera Seeking the Mystery: an Introduction to Pagan Theologies by Christine Hoff Kraemer www.christinehoffkraemer.com/publications.htmlAnother suggestion- reading about un-interrupted (or recently interrupted) polytheistic/animistic traditions- Hinduism, Shinto, American Indian etc. that might help inform our practices. I'm curious to learn more about Shinto, from the little tidbits I know of it.
