Hey folks, I'm notoriously bad at self-promotion so do forgive me for doing so; it's all about pushing myself out of my comfort zone. I have the distinct pleasure of presenting at this year's Pantheacon. I'll be presenting "A Thousand Ways: Devotional Ritual Models" on Friday during the first session. It’s about the conceptual and practical models that are used as frameworks for devotional rituals in the greater context of modern paganism and polytheism; I’ll also focus on what value these frameworks have for personal devotional practice. Though the session is perhaps best suited for people with an intermediate-advanced knowledge of ritual practice, I do hope that there’ll be something for devotionally-oriented people of all experience levels.
Anyway, please do come if you’re inclined. Or say hi. Or watch from a distance as I try to find vegetarian/vegan food for four days.

Hi, Spookymuffin,
I had actually marked your class to take before I saw your post here! I am very much looking forward to being there and learning from you! :-)
You have my sympathy on the food front -- I have to eat gluten free which is always a huge challenge. But it is either that or get sick. Sigh.
Have you been to PCon before? Last year, they had quick lunch areas set up at the DoubleTree. And I'm almost certain that they had vegetarian options, at least. Also, since I eat gluten free, much of the commercial packaged food I bring along when I stay at the DoubleTree for PCon also happens to be vegan. The two (GF and Vegan) are frequently paired together for consumers. If you're hungry feel free to hit me up for a bag of vegan snacks. I'm happy to share! ;-)

I've never had the opportunity to go to PCon before; I have to travel from Utah and midway between Christmas and tax season is always financially tight. I'm definitely looking forward to being there. Ah, good to know there are lunch stations. I can usually find a veggie rice bowl at those kind of places. I've been spending a lot of time on Googlemaps looking at restaurants in the area. (Looks like there's a sushi place nearby; perhaps good for gluten-free options?) I'm glad you're looking forward to the session. Do come say hi afterwards.

I will see you then. :-)
Alas, most sushi places are pretty iffy for me because soy sauce gets into everything, often. Standard American soy sauce includes wheat which has gluten. Who would have thought?
I would say that the proportion of vegetarians and vegans in the California "NeoPagan" religions, and for the San Francisco/San Jose area in general, is very very high, in my experience. (I'm a Native Californian by five generations). So I am pretty sure you will quite easily be able to find something that works for you at or around the conference.
I wish you a safe and easy journey. And when you get here, welcome to California! :-)
