For reference, I'm Western Australian Standard Time (WAST). We don't do DST here, so it's GMT+8 all the time. The best, funnest time zone in the world.

Oh, so is that going to be 9am for you instead?  I'm sorry, I didn't realize. I feel lame. I wish *we* didn't do Daylight Savings Time. It's pretty stupid and pointless at this point. |

Nah, I'm 13 hours ahead of Central, so 9am Central is 10am here. You're good.  Well, look, DST works really well in Melbourne, because the city is open, and there's a good nightlife culture to make long summer evenings worth something, but it doesn't work here in Perth, because the weather is terrible, and there's fuck all to do after about 7pm. We often joke that Perth is a large country town pretending to be a city. Yeah! /lives in the awesomest place ever. /sarcasm. |

I was able to Skype with a couple of people recently, and have been corresponding with a few people over personal messages on the forum, and it's been awesome so far! Have any of you done anything with each other? Anybody recently arrived who would be interested in doing so with other people, in a group or on a one-on-one basis? |
