Let's get this party started. The Admin tells me that I can do polls here, but it looks like they're fairly simple multiple choice. We'll handle the actual book choice here to help everyone find what they need to find. For now, though, let's get some book suggestions! To suggest a book, visit the following Google form: docs.google.com/forms/d/1e-ndE212W6caDVH7LQMza8_j-U0HSn9wS2iRKRjXlbk/viewformAnd fill it out. I'm the only person that's able to see the suggestions at this point. As a point of order: I'm on vacation starting Thursday through Tuesday. So, get suggestions in between now and Tuesday and I'll be back to post a follow-up here so that we can pick our actual book when we get started. Hopefully we'll pick a book by the end of next week -- Monday the 28th at the latest -- and we can get started in November!

Good news! I'm back from my vacation and unburied from the professional obligations that said vacation left on my plate. I love that I was gone for six days and it took me seven to get caught up. Regardless, 10 suggestions were made in the Google form, though three look to be the same book. I need to take my car to the mechanic this morning but I hope to make up a new/different poll to help us select our first book shortly.
Cheers!

Who wants to work through a new book? I've been wanting to start the Ephesia Grammata book that P. Sufenas Virius Lupus put out recently; any other suggestions?

I was about to restart reading The Goddess: Mythological Images of the Feminine by Christine Downing. I had read the first 2-3 chapters from a library copy some time ago, and got my own but it's been collecting dust. It's a really interesting and thought provoking book and has fantastic reviews.

Alternatively, I'd like to suggest some other books on my to read list: Priestesses by Norma Lorre Goodrich; The Spell of the Sensuous by David Abram; American Shamans by Jack Montgomery; Singing with Blackbirds by Stuart A. Harris-Logan; Cunning Folk and Familiar Spirits by Emma Wilby
I've got a lot of books on my shelf to read hehe
