Hey, that's really cool!  Sharing! Legos are great for altars and shrines, too. The figures work great as idols for a child's sacred space: they're a good size for little hands, sturdy, and colorful. They are also varied enough to represent different pantheons (e.g., the mermaid figure could be Amphitrite, Salacia, Yemaya, et cetera).
