www.streetartutopia.com/?p=10112 I saw this on facebook, and thought this would be a great way to make fairy houses, and devotional things, with my autistic son. I know I'm not the only one who has autistic children and had to share!
Legos are great for altars and shrines, too. The figures work great as idols for a child's sacred space: they're a good size for little hands, sturdy, and colorful. They are also varied enough to represent different pantheons (e.g., the mermaid figure could be Amphitrite, Salacia, Yemaya, et cetera).
